Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy and providing clear information about our data practices

When you submit a dream to The Dream Database, we collect the following voluntarily provided data—your submission acts as your explicit agreement to these terms:

By submitting, you authorize us to anonymize this data—removing identifiable details like names or emails—and use it for:

Your anonymized dream supports research and potential commercial products, but we never share information that identifies you personally

Data Security and Consent

We use industry-standard measures like encryption and secure servers to protect your data, but no online system is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection. In case of a breach exposing identifiable information, we will notify you as required by Texas law. Submitting a dream signifies your consent to these practices. We keep identifiable data typically within 72 hours of submission unless delayed by technical issues, then anonymize it for indefinite storage. To request deletion of identifiable data (e.g., email or IP address), contact privacy@thedreamdatabase.com and we will respond within 30 days—note that shared anonymized data cannot be retrieved

Policy Updates and Contact

We may revise this Privacy Policy, with updates posted here—continued use indicates acceptance of changes. For inquiries, concerns, or to report data from children under 13 (which we do not knowingly collect and will promptly remove), email privacy@thedreamdatabase.com When emailing, please include your submission timestamp or dream ID, if available, to help us assist you faster
